Is this up in the area of the gift shop? I wanted to hike around up there, but there was so much snow I couldn't get on any of the trails. Middle of July and there was still about 3 feet of snow on the ground.
It has a little gift shop there and is within walking distance from the large gift show with a cafeteria. It is very accessible as there is a parking lot right next to the overlook. We were there in early August. Only a little bit snow is left.
The large one with the cafeteria is the one that I was at. If you look at some of my pictures you can see how much snow there was. And I was there in about mid July.
Yes! That's one amazing fact about Crater Lake. Because it has no inlet, its water is one of the purest as far as lack of pollution. I believe this lake was originally called "Deep Blue Lake"
